
USA: Dietary Guidelines
On December 29, 2020, the U.S. Departments of Agriculture (USDA) and Health and Human Services (HHS) released the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2020-2025.
The Guidelines are aimed to provide science-based advice on what to eat and drink to promote health, help reduce risk of chronic disease, and meet nutrient needs.
For adults ages 19 through 59, it is recommended consumption of 5 ounce equivalent per week of ‘Nuts, Seeds, Soy Products’ for patterns at 2,000-2,600 calories per day.
