
The European Commission published the Regulation 2017/1135 of 23 June 2017 and the Regulation 2017/1016 of 14 June 2017, as regards the maximum residue levels (MRL) for some pesticides.
As for nuts and dried fruits, the Regulation sets the following MRLs for dimethoate and omethoate:
- Dimethoate: 0.01* ppm in tree nuts, apricots, plums, grapes, cranberries, dates, figs and peanuts.
- Omethoate: 0.01* ppm in tree nuts, apricots, plums, grapes, cranberries, dates, figs and peanuts.
The Regulation shall apply from January 17, 2018.
Regulation 2017/1135 of 23 June 2017
The Regulation 2017/1016 of 14 June 2017 sets the MRL for oxathiapiprolin in tree nuts, apricots, plums, cranberries, dates, figs and peanuts at 0.01* ppm and in grapes at 0.7 ppm;
The Regulation shall enter into force on July 24, 2017.
