
On March 6, 2017, the European Council adopted a decision on the signing of an agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Chile on trade in organic products.As a result of the agreement, EU and Chile will recognize the equivalence of their respective organic rules and control systems. This means that organic food covered by the agreement will be able to be marketed in the EU and Chile without further controls. Edible fruit and nuts (Code 08) are included in the agreement.Press release
