EU: 2017 RASFF Annual Report

In 2017, the number of notifications for the product category "nuts, nut products and seeds" totaled 536 notifications (424 of which were border rejections), +21% as compared to 2016 (443 notifications).
 
The most notified hazard in the nuts category and countries of origin were:

•  Aflatoxins in nuts, nut products and seeds from China: 81 notifications.
• Aflatoxins in nuts, nut products and seeds from Turkey: 65 notifications.
• Aflatoxins in nuts, nut products and seeds from Iran: 50 notifications.
