EFSA: Public Consultation on Listeria Monocytogenes

The draft summarizes and evaluates the most recent information on L. monocytogenes in RTE foods, and evaluates the factors related to the contamination in the food chain and the consumption patterns that may contribute to the reported trend of listeriosis incidence in the European Union. L. monocytogenes was found in the category “nuts, nut products and seeds” (2 notifications during 2008-2016).

The deadline for comments is September 29, 2017.
