Brazil: MRLs Update

The Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency has notified the World Trade Organization of draft resolutions regarding the active ingredients I21 - Indoxacarb, E05 - Ethephon, and A29 - Acetamiprid of the Monograph List of Active Ingredients for Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers, published by Resolution RE n° 165 of 29 August 2003, on the Brazilian Official Gazette (DOU Diário Oficial da União) of 2 September 2003.

  • The MRL for indoxacarb in peanuts is included at 0.08 ppm and safety security period of 1 day.
  • The MRL for ethephon in grape culture is included at 2.0 ppm and safety security period of 2 days.
  • The MRL for acetamiprid in peanuts is included at 0.15 ppm and safety security period of 7 days in the modality of foliar use (application). In addition, the MRL in peanuts is changed from 0.01 to 0.15 ppm in the modality of seed use (application).
The final date for comments is March 7, 2020.
